Progressively agoraphobic, and increasingly seduced by nightmarish visions, Emily is furious at the cruelties of genetic Fate. Her diplomas are useless taunts, her well-loved books fellow exiles, her wedding gown a shrine to shame.
But as Emily so bitterly knows, Destiny is a mischievous bitch. A man has come looking for Emily, telling tales about a long lost grandfather who needs her help. A silver-tongued, angel-faced man who may or may not be every Dream her nightmares tell her she can never have.
